EVANGELINA L. VILLARREAL

RIO GRANDE CITY a€" Evangelina L. Villarreal, 92, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Rio Grande Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Villarreal; her mother, Ester; two sisters Olivia Lopez and Consuelo Hurley; two brothers Santos and Mauricio Lopez; Reynaldo Mendez, Julia M. Alvarado, and One grandson Raymond Ibanez, Jr.

She is survived by two sons; Dr. Joe David (Susan) Ibanez and Raymond D. (Magdalen) Ibanez, grandchildren Dr. Kent Ernest (Catherine) Ibanez, Kathleen Evangeline (Brandon) Arnold and Lauren (Andrew) Billings, Nicholas Xavier Ibanez and one brother, Encarnacion Lopez. Great-grandchildren: Lilyana Faye Ibanez, Cole Joseph Ibanez, Tessa Noelle Ibanez, Rowen Albert Ibanez, Alison Paige Ibanez, Nicholas Tate Stephens, Finley Kate Arnold and Avery Evangeline Arnold. Also surviving her are her nieces Rosalinda Lopez, and Cynthia L. Morin and Blanca L. Rangel. Numerous nieces and nephews, she was very close to her devoted caregivers, Josefina Perez Zuniga, Laura Elizalde and others.

Visitations will continue on Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 10 a.m. at Sanchez Funeral Home with church services at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Rio Grande City Cemetery. Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City is in charge of arrangements.
