HAROLD LOZANO



Harold Lozano, passed away this morning at Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen, Tx. He was born in La Grulla, Tx on 2/15/1931. He is preceded in death by his parents Bruno and Maria Lozano, brothers Hector, Eleazar and Joe Lozano all from La Grulla, Tx.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa G. Lozano, daughters, Debra Jean Lozano and children. Cheryl Lozano Cantu and children. Jennifer Lozano (Joey Watt) and children, and his four other daughters from a previous marriage, Gracie Lozano, Elva Lozano, Lucy Lozano, and Betty Lozano and children. Surviving siblings, Mr. and Mrs. Cesar Lozano, Mr. and Mrs. Angel Lozano, Omar Lozano. Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Guerra, Mr. and Mrs. Elijio Guzman.

Harold graduated from La Grulla High school and went on to the United States Air Force and served for four years, where he began his career as an aircraft mechanic engineer in California. During this time of his life, he built a gyro-copter and was very well known for this, and he was very proud. He then retired and moved back to La Grulla to be with his family. Harold was a very loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather.

A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Aug. 26, 2014, at Sanchez funeral Home of Rio Grande City. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
