SAN ISIDRO a€" Hortencia A. Rodriguez, a long time resident of San Isidro, Texas entered eternal rest at the age of 94 on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Mission Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born on January 8, 1920 in San Isidro, Texas to Francisco and Elvira Alvarado.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Encarnacion Rodriguez; her daughter Rebecca Rodriguez, her parents Francisc and Elvira Alvarado.

She is survived by 11 children; Rosa (Renato) Ramirez, Hermilo (Imelda) Rodriguez, Conrado (Yolanda) Rodriguez,San Juana (Juan M.) Garcia, Encarnacion Jr. (Ma. Luisa) Rodriguez, Hexiquio (Ma. Elena) Rodriguez, Hortencia (Arturo) Cavazos, Nelida (Ignacio) Torres, Jose L. Rodriguez, Maria Rebecca (Roberto) Bazan, Maria Isabel(Orlando) Lozano and brother, Jose L.(Viola) Alvarado, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Viewing will begin on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary at 7 p.m. at Sanchez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City. On Saturday, July 26, 2014 viewing will take place at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with the mass at 10 a.m. at San Isidro Catholic Church in San Isidro. Burial will follow at Alvarado Cemetery.

Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City is in charge of arrangements.

The Family would like to thank the Staff at Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care provided to our dear mother Hortencia.
