Adan Ramos Jr. (51), of Mission/Rio Grande City, TX.

Adan Ramos Jr. passed in peace Tuesday February 21, 2023 at the age of 51. Adan is preceded in death by his parents Adan Ramos Sr and Criselda Garcia Ramos. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Belinda Medrano, children Gabriela (Pedro), Romeo (Alivia), Marlene (Esteban), Andrea (Jarrell), Anabel Leticia Ramos, and Adan (Litzy) Ramos. Adan is also survived by his two sisters Gracie R. Guerra and children, and Gilda Ramos (Juan A. Casarez) and children. 

Adan, fondly known as “Gordo”, was born to Adan and Criselda Ramos, on June 22, 1971, in Roma, TX. Adan was a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 23 years; he retired in 2022. 

Aside from his love for football, Adan (Gordo) was well known for his great personality. Adan (Gordo) enjoyed spending his afternoons sitting outside with his wife and two dogs. Adan (Gordo) was very loved and his personality will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation for Adan (Gordo) will be on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Sanchez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, TX. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rio Grande City, TX.
