Amelia C. Canales

Salineno - Amelia C. Canales 95, went home to our Lord Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Salineno, TX to Eusebio Castillo and Nicolasa Garcia on September 21, 1922. Amelia lived most of her life in Salineno. She is preceded in death by her husband, Santos Canales, Jr., grand daughter Emily Ann Canales, great grand daughter Abbey Marie Canales, brothers Romeo Castillo, Sr, Rene Castillo and Roel Castillo, and son-in-law Romelio Garcia, Sr. Amelia is survived by five children, Sonia (+Romelio) Garcia, Jorge (Dolores), Marissa (Alfredo) , Cesar and Omar (Angie); 13 grand children, 12 great grand children and 6 great great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will held from 3 to 9 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm Friday, May 4 , 2018 at Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home in Roma, TX. Funeral mass will take place at 10 am, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic church in Salineno, TX. Interment will follow at Salineno Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home in Roma.
