Amparo Cantu

Amparo G. Cantu, 75 years of age, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in McAllen, Texas. Mrs. Cantu was born on November 22, 1949, in Los Garza Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents, Loreto and Adalia Campos Garza. Left to cherish her memories and lasting love are her son; Esequiel (Maria Guadalupe) Cantu; her daughter, Consuelo Cantu; her siblings, Lilia Barrera, Armando Garza and her 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Visitation and viewing at Sanchez Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm with service at 6:30 pm. Visitation continues Friday, December 13, 2024, from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm, followed by burial at St. John’s Cemetery in Rio Grande City at 1:30 pm. Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Sanchez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, TX.
