Rio Grande City – Angelina “Angie” M. Teran, age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.
Angie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed beyond measure by her family and all who were blessed to know her. Her life’s journey was marked by unconditional love, deep compassion, unwavering faith in God, and remarkable strength. Angie’s gentle spirit and steadfast devotion left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roberto Martinez and Imelda I. Perez Martinez, and her brother, Roberto “La Grava” Martinez Jr.
Angie married the love of her life, her best friend and sweetheart, Ruben H. Teran Sr. Together they were blessed with two children and built a life rooted in faith, love, and family.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ruben H. Teran Sr.; her two children, Jessica S. Teran-Saenz (Eddie) and Ruben H. Teran Jr., both of Rio Grande City; her eight cherished grandchildren, Eddie (Sarah) Saenz, Brenda (Steven) Galindo, Ruben E. Saenz, Julio E. Saenz, Victoria A. Saenz, Ruben H. Teran III, Jayden Teran, and Athena Teran; and her five precious great-grandchildren, all of whom were very dear and close to her heart.
Not a day went by that Angie did not speak about how much her children and family meant to her. Above all else, she lived each day prioritizing her faith and her family. She found comfort and strength in prayer, and her devotion to those she loved defined her life. Angie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, and resilience that will forever be cherished.
Angie enjoyed spending her free time gambling with her husband, children, and friends. She also treasured time spent at the family ranch with her parents, children, and grandchildren, where countless loving memories were made through the years. Her warmth, charisma, and joyful spirit always left a smile on the faces of those around her.Angie dedicated her professional life to many years of service to Central Power & Light Company (CPL), Riverside Pharmacy, and the Rio Grande City Grulla Independent School District (Special Education Department). Her compassion and care touched the lives of countless community members, staff, students, and parents. She was known for her kindness, always extending care and understanding to everyone she met. Angie also gave generously of her time as an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America, reflecting her lifelong commitment to service, faith, and helping others.
Throughout her life, Angie was a hardworking, strong, and determined woman who persevered through life’s challenges with grace and faith. She was viewed by many as a pillar of strength, a source of encouragement, and an inspiration. Her laughter, loving words, and caring heart brought comfort to all who knew her.
Angie’s contributions to her family and community are a source of pride, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Her warmth, dedication, and unconditional love will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
She will live on in our hearts through cherished memories and loving thoughts. This is not a farewell or goodbye, but rather, see you later.
