Antonio Apolinar Gonzalez was born on January 08, 1935, in El Sauz, La Esperanza Ranch, he passed away on September 10, 2026, at Starr County Nursing and Transitional Care in Rio Grande City, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ysidoro Gonzalez and Leonor Salinas Gonzalez and by his son, Alberto Andres Gonzalez. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Pedro Gonzalez, Eli Gonzalez, Guadalupe Gonzalez, Luisa Gonzalez, Paula G. (Pedro) Perez, Maria Viola G. (Juvencio) Valadez, Juanita G. (Edelmiro) Ramirez, Hermina G. (Raul) Garcia. Antonio leaves behind a loving family who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his loving son, Antonio (Noemi) Gonzalez Jr. He is also lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren, Corina Lee G. Hall, Antonio A. Gonzalez III, Maria (Lee) Gonzales, Gabriel (Valerie) Gonzalez, Joel Gonzalez, Alberto Andres (Stephanie)Gonzalez Jr., Jason Gonzalez, Yvonne Gonzalez and his numerous greatgrandchildren. He is survived by his numerous nieces and nephews along with many loved ones who shared in his life and will treasure his memory always.

His passing brings sorrow to those who knew and loved him, while his memory remains a lasting blessing to his family. May his family find comfort in the love they shared with him and in the memories that will remain with them always.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sanchez Funeral Home, with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. A second visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Sanchez Funeral Home. A Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Scared Heart Catholic Church, in Los Gracias. Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at El Sauz Community Cemetery in El Sauz.
