Brenda Villarreal

La Grulla-Brenda Alicia Villarreal,52, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Mission Regional Hospital i Mission, Texas.



She was born on March 12, 1960 to the late Elia Cora Cortez and Noe Eduardo Cortez. She was a proud resident of La Grulla, Texas, where she also served as mayor for the last three years.



She is survived by her husband, Eliborio Salinas, Jr; her children, Macario (Didi) Villarreal III, Crystal Villarreal (Roel Solis, Jr.), Leroy Salinas, Cristina Salinas, her brother David Ramirez: her grandchildren, Alyssa L. Villarreal, Jesse James Villarreal, Roel Solis III., Nukonna L. Castillo and Brianna N. Castillo. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, neices and nephews.



Funeral mass will be at 1 p.m., today, October 27, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church in La Grulla. Burial will follow at Cantu Cemetery in La Grulla, Texas. Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City is in charge of arrangements.
