Dario G. Trevino

Dario G. Trevino, was born on February 27, 1944, in McAllen, Texas, he passed away on August 24, 2026, at his residence in Rio Grande City. His passing brings sorrow to those who knew and loved him, while his memory remains a lasting blessing to his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo D. Trevino and Dalia Guerra Trevino. He was also welcomed into eternal life by his siblings Polo, Arnoldo and David Trevino who went before him. Dario leaves behind a loving family who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his loving wife, of 59 yrs Elma (Mickie) M. Trevino, his son, Ruben Dario Trevino, and Ruben’s wife, Elizabeth G. Trevino; and by his daughters, Sara Alicia Cantu and her husband, Dr. Norberto Cantu Jr., and Maria A. “Tonie” Lopez and her husband, Marin Lopez.He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Dr. Rebecca Dee Trevino-Varela and her husband, Jean Varela; Ruben Dario Trevino Jr.,
Victoria Alicia Cantu-Saenz and her husband, Daniel Saenz; Norberto Cantu III; Dr. Nicholas Cantu and his wife, Idani Garza Cantu; Sara Carolina Cantu; Marcela Lopez; and Rosa Marina Lopez. His family circle was further blessed by his Great grandchild, Roman Daniel Saenz. He is survived by his brother, Manuel Trevino, and his sister, Melba Letsinger, along with many loved ones who shared in his life and will treasure his memory always. May his family find comfort in the love they shared with him and in the memories that will remain with them always.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home, 101 AR Sanchez Sr. Dr., Roma, Texas 78584, with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. A second visitation will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home. A Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 4 St Eugene De Mazenod Ave, Roma, Texas 78584. Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Roma City Cemetery, US-83, Roma, Texas 78584.
