Dr. Paul Michael Doyno Jr.

Dr. Paul Michael Doyno Jr., 64, of McAllen, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at his residence. A respected educator and dedicated leader, he will be remembered for his work and his commitment to the community. 

Born in 1961, Dr. Doyno devoted his career to education in the Rio Grande Valley. His educational background included a Bachelor of Science from Trinity University with a focus on Finance and Marketing, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Texas-Pan American. He later earned his Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston.

Dr. Doyno served as the Director for Educational Opportunities at Rio Grande City CISD, where he made a lasting impact on students and faculty alike. He was a valued colleague and mentor, known for his dedication and leadership.

Family and friends will gather to honor his life on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Sanchez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City. Visitation will begin at 5 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rio Grande City at 10AM. Burial will follow at Rio Grande City County Cemetery.

Dr. Doyno will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and unwavering faith. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
