Homero Garcia

Homero Garcia was born on October 26, 1949, in Rio Grande City, he passed away on September 7, 2026, at his residence in Rio Grande City, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mario (+) and Elvira Gonzalez Garcia (+) and his siblings, Matias Garcia (+), Criselda (Adan+) Ramos (+), Mario Garcia Jr. (+). Homero leaves behind a loving family who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Thelma Andrade Garcia and his loving son, Homero (Fabiola) Garcia Jr., and his loving daughter, Rebekah G. (Jose) Morales. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Homero Garcia III, Hiram Boy Garcia, Hernan Javier Garcia, Jose Morales Jr., Sofia Morales, and Daniel Eli Morales. He is survived by his siblings, Dora (Hector+) Gonzalez, Yolanda (Agapito) Gloria, Irene (Roberto) Lozano, Maria Nelly Martinez, Diana Resendez, Lita (Tony) Segovia along with many loved ones who shared in his life and will treasure his memory always.

His passing brings sorrow to those who knew and loved him, while his memory remains a lasting blessing to his family. May his family find comfort in the love they shared with him and in the memories that will remain with them always.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sanchez Funeral Home, with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. A second visitation will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sanchez Funeral Home. A Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Los Gracias. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Rio Grande City Cemetery.May Homero Garcia rest in peace.
