August 21, 1954 – January 17, 2019

Leonel Lopez Jr. was a pillar of the community with a kind heart and a loving personality. He was a wise businessman and rancher who loved spending much of his time outdoors. He lived life to the fullest, and always had a smile on his face. He was a hard worker, a great mentor to many, and someone who was strong in his faith. Above all this, his family was his pride and joy. He was that special someone you could count on, ask for advice, share your stories with, feel safe with, because family meant the world to him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Preceded in death by his father Leonel Lopez  and brother Eloy Lopez  . He is survived by his wife Rosa, daughter Anel E., son Leonel III and Nicole, grandkids Mackenzie, Landon and Lukus Lopez, mother Zulema M. Lopez, Frank and Belinda Cummings, Cynthia Montalvo, Leticia De La Garza, Hector and San Juanita Garcia, and Diana Garcia.

RIO GRANDE CITY - LEONEL "BOY" LOPEZ JR., 64, DIED THURSDAY, JANUARY 17, 2019 AT METHODIST HOSPITAL IN SAN ANTONIO, TX.  SANCHEZ FUNERAL HOME OF RIO GRANDE CITY WILL BE IN CHARGE OF HIS FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS.
