Luisa Barrera Escobar
Passed away peacefully on May 14, 2022. Luisa was born May 4, 1928, in Roma, Texas to Francisco and Francisca Barrera. She married Felipe Escobar in October 1960 and made their home in Pasadena, Texas where she devoted her life to her husband and children. As a devoted Christian, she was involved in her church and generously donated to many religious charities. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings in her home, welcoming family and friends, and always had an open mind and a sense of humor. She loved children and was known to be accepting, compassionate and loving to all who knew her. In addition, her passions were gardening, tending to plants, sewing, and reading.
Luisa was preceded in death by her husband Felipe Escobar, her two sisters, and three brothers. Surviving her are son Ricardo Escobar and wife Jennifer of Pasadena Tx, daughters Maria Guadalupe and Criscelda of La Porte, Tx; grandchildren Steven and wife Hemali of Austin, Tx, Jesse and wife Witney of Savanna GA; Olivia, Heather, and Emily; great-granddaughter Alexis.
