Maria Alicia Carrera
Maria Alicia Carrera, 86, died Friday, May 25, 2018, at her home in Rio Grande City surrounded by her children. Maria Alicia was born on October 14, 1931. Her parents were Procopio Guerra and Obdulia Guerra.
She is survived by her children: Homero Heron, Cecilia Alicia Gonzalez (Israel Jr.), Teresa Paprota (+Robert), Hector Javier, and Santana, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Procopio Guerra, and Ma. del Rosario Lopez.
She is proceded in death by her parents, husband, Homero Octavio Carrera, her siblings, Leonel Guerra, Homero Guerra, Nela Garcia, Amparo Munoz, Ma. Guadalupe Porras, and Dalia Trevino.
Viewing will be today, May 28, 2018, at 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Viewing will continue Tuesday, May 29th, 9:00 am - 10:45 am. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rio Grande City, TX. Cremation will follow. She will have a Grave Side service on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Rio Grande City Cemetery to bury her ashes. All funeral services are under the direction of Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City.
