Maria Emma Dreumont

Maria Emma Dreumont (age 78), born September 21, 1937, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Emma was a lifelong resident of Rio Grande City, Texas, and a committed member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. After graduating from high school, she married John Dreumont, the love of her life. While raising four children, they owned and operated a successful local business, Dreumont Refrigeration, Inc. In addition to being a charter member of the Mr. & Mrs. Club in Rio Grande City, she was also a member of the Junior Sewing Club and a volunteer with the Starr County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Emma is preceded in death by her parents, Fabriciano E. Garcia and San Juanita Duran Garcia; her husband, John R. Dreumont; her brother, Fabriciano E. Garcia, Jr.; her son, John R. Dreumont, Jr.; and her granddaughter, Melanie Falcon. She is survived by her brother, Gilberto Garcia (Rosie); her daughters: Cindy Falcon (Gene), Sharon Dreumont and Laurie Dreumont (Silver); her grandchildren: Michelle, Melissa, Marcela (Rigo), Deborah, Misty, Stephanie (Danny), Ashley and John III; and her great-grandchildren: Kimberly, Kaleb, Dustin, Emmalyn, Emalee, Dylan and Elizabeth.
Visitation will be from 4-9pm with a 7pm Rosary, Monday, September 5, 2016, at Sanchez Funeral Home, 301 E. 2nd, Rio Grande City, Texas. The funeral mass will be at 9am, Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church, burial will follow at Rio Grande City Cemetery.
