Mary H. Gonzalez

Mary H. Gonzalez, 85, entered eternal rest on June 28, 2015 in Brownsville. She was born March 30, 1930 to William and Margarita (de la Garza) Harrell. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Arnoldo F. Gonzalez, her son Arnoldo Francisco Gonzalez, and her brother Bill Harrell. She touched so many lives that she is fondly remembered by many for her social services on behalf of the less fortunate.
She is survived by her children-- Flavio (Jessie) Gonzalez of Brownsville, Marissa (Cayetano) Maldonado of Pharr, Aurora (Julio Alfonso) Garza of Roma, and Martha (Jorge) Peña of Delmita; grandchildren Dr. Angelina (Kelly), Kristy, Karen, Arnoldo, Laura, Annette, Alyssa, Dr. Venessa, and Jorge Jr; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City is in charge of funeral arrangements. Services will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 P.M. Mass will be held on Friday, July 3rd, at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church in Rio Grande City which will conclude the funerary services.

RIO GRANDE CITY - Mary H. Gonzalez, 85, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at her residence in Brownsville, Texas. Sanchez Funeral Home will be in charge of her funeral arrangements.
