Napoleon Sepulveda, a pillar of dedication and love, passed away on May 3, 2026, at South Texas Health System in McAllen, Texas. Born on April 10, 1929, at Los Garza Ranch in Starr County, Napoleon led a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a deep connection to the land.

He was a man known for his loving and caring nature, serving as a hardworking example to his family and community. Napoleon’s love for the outdoors was evident in his daily life; he cherished working on the ranch, tending the fields, and spending time nurturing his yard. Gardening brought him joy, especially planting calabazas among many other plants, reflecting a life intertwined with nature and growth.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, of 59 years, Reyna Victoria Sepulveda; his son, Feliberto G. Sepulveda; his daughter, Noelia Sepulveda; and parents,  Feliberto Sepulveda and Teresa Garcia Sepulveda

Napoleon's legacy endures in the hearts of his beloved children: San Juanita Sepulveda; Ramon Roel Sepulveda and his wife Hermelinda; Noe Sepulveda Sandoval and his wife Judith; Nilda Sepulveda Saenz and her husband Blas Pedro Jr.; Nelda Sepulveda Corona and her husband Marcelo; Nelba Sepulveda Carranza and her husband Lee; Diana Sepulveda Carrera and her husband Efrain; Maria Dalinda Sepulveda Davis and her husband John; and Nydia Sepulveda Garza. He is also fondly remembered by his 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, who carry forward the values he embodied.

The community and family will honor Napoleon through a series of services held at Sanchez Funeral Home, 301 East Second Street, Rio Grande City, TX. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on May 6, 2026, including a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Additional visitation will continue from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM on May 7, followed by a Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 101 E Canales Bros St, at 11:00 AM. The burial will take place at El Remolino Cemetery, 23 El Remolino Road, shortly thereafter at 12:15 PM.

Napoleon Sepulveda’s life stands as a testament to perseverance, love, and the quiet strength found in dedication to family and land. His memory will remain a guiding light to all who knew him.
