Olga Iris Hinojosa

Olga Iris Hinojosa joined her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 17, 2026. Olga was a member of Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Roma, Texas. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters Council and had the privilege of serving as the Regent for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Miguel and Josefina (Pepa) Hinojosa, her beloved aunt Eloisa Ramirez, her brothers Jose and Miguel Hinojosa, and her brother-in-law Nance Munoz.

She is survived by her sister Thalia H. Munoz, her brother Judge Ricardo H. Hinojosa, and her nephews Eliot, Nelson (Marissa), and niece Roxie Marie Munoz, her great-grand nieces Meagan, Mia, Miranda, Miriela, and Milena Munoz, great-grand nephews Michael, Mason, and niece McKinzie. They were all her pride and joy and she enjoyed spending time with them.

Olga received her college degree in Special Education from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio, Texas. She enjoyed her dedicated career as a counselor with the Roma School District until her retirement.

Roma - Olga Iris Hinojosa, age, 80, passed away at the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, TX, on Friday, April 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home in Roma, TX.
