RIO GRANDE CITY - Prudencio Salinas, 84, died on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at his residence in Rio Grande City, Texas. Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City will be in charge of his funeral arrangements. RIO GRANDE CITY
Prudencio Salinas Chapa, 83, died on August 25, 2013 at his home in Rio Grande City with his loving family at his side.
He is survived by his nine children: Creselda"Guadalupe" Marquez, Francisca "Juan" Mata, Rosa "Noel" Bazan, Maria Gloria Alvarado, Prudencio "Barbara" Salinas, Toribio "Lisa" Salinas, Esperanza "Gabino" Rodriguez, Javier "Felipa" Salinas, Roberto "Adela" Salinas, his brother, Catarino Salinas, his sisters, Mariana Perez, Cecelia Torrez, Hortencia Martinez, Twenty Nine grandchildren, Forty Six Great-grandchildren, and One Great- great -grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents Toribio Salinas, and Francisca Chapa, and his daughter Dianette Salinas.
Prudencio was born in El Azucar Tamps., Mexico. He was a loving father and worked as a farm hand all his life. He will be missed but not forgotten.
Visitation started on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 11am - 9pm., with a Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be today, Wednesday, August 28, at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rio Grande City, Texas. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Rio Grande City. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City, Texas.
