It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Roberto Villarreal who left us to join his beloved parents, Osme and Aniceto, on Monday, October 21, 2024. Roberto was a cherished husband, a devoted father, and a doting grandfather and great-grandfather, whose loving spirit and generous heart touched all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Roberto’s legacy lives through his beloved wife, Gela, his children, grandchildren, and great children. His family was his pride and joy, and he dedicated his life to creating lasting memories with them, always welcoming them with open arms and an inviting smile.
Roberto spent many blissful days in his workshop, a sanctuary he skilled crafted beautiful cabinets while serenaded by the timeless melodies of Hank Williams. His hands, weathered yet gentle, expertly fashioned each piece of wood, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship that will be remembered by all who admired his work. A familiar sight in his garden, Roberto tended to his vibrant rose bushes with care, his trusted Marlboro cigarettes tucked snugly in the pocket of his navy-blue shirt, and his favorite green coffee thermos always by his side.
When not in his workshop or out in his beloved garden, one could find Roberto comfortably settle in his leather recliner, captivated by the action-packed tales of Westerns. He found joy in simplicity and built a life filled with love, laughter, and many cherished moments that will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved him.
Dad, you’re understanding and patients with your Love and wisdom for your family is the one thing that was and will ever stay in our hearts for our lifetimes. Your patients in raising your three boys and little girl have displayed with the examples on what your children have accomplished and hope to instill in your grandchildren. As far as wisdom your trade as a master carpenter has left lone lasting pieces of furniture which generation upon generation can be passed on which I can say it has already started with my daughters. I’m just lucky to have my dad teach me a trade I can cherish for the rest of my life and pass on to my two grandsons.
To his loved ones he was funny and honest, making him good company. On this day we thank him for the memories and how he'll be in our thoughts every time we make Grandpa breakfast sandwiches or smell cigarette smoke.
The love my dad displayed was not one of public showing, but a deep gratitude and kindness when we needed his support. This is why we’re going to miss our dad so much and will always remember him and be proud that we got to be his children.
