Salomon Montoya, 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Edinburg Regional Hospital. He was born on January 4, 1941, in Roma Texas; son of Tomas Montoya and Francisca Guerra. He is proceeded by death by his parents and his brother Savas Montoya. He is survived by his wife Maria Luisa Montoya, his daughters Iris Montoya (Eddie Ybarra Jr.), Ida L. Cruz, and his son Ivan Montoya (Shava Smallen Montoya); his brothers Ignacio Zaragoza, Samuel, Servando, and Tomas Montoya; his sister Adelaida, Amada, Angelica, Albeza, Andrea, Amparo, and Francisca; two grandchildren (Joseph Anthony Cruz and Eddie Ybarra III). Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Sanchez Funeral Home in Roma TX. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Refuge Church in Roma TX which will proceed with burial at City of Roma Cemetery afterwards.
