It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sheree Nicole Perez on Thursday, August 28 th surrounded by her loving family. Sheree was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend whose presence brought warmth and light into every individual whose lives she touched. She is survived by her mother Sylvia Casas, her father Ignacio Zaragoza Perez Jr., her brother Ignacio Zaragoza (Elvia Yolanda) Perez III, nephews Lauro Alberto Perez, Noah Barba, nieces Lauren Anel Perez and Amanda Barba. Sheree’s life was a beacon of beauty, joy and inspiration to all who knew her. Her infectious laughter, boundless energy, and unwavering kindness touched the hearts of many. Sheree was a beautiful soul whose faith in Christ guided her every step. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit and her faith and love for God’s word. Her smile, encouraging words, and trust in God inspired all who knew her. She remained positive and steadfast in her faith. Her passion for life was evident in everything she did, from her dedication to her career to her love for adventure and travel. Sheree had an incredible ability to connect with people of all ages, always offering a listening ear and a comforting word. Her generosity knew no bounds and she was always ready to lend a helping hand even when confronting her own battle. Her journey was marked by her incredible grace, courage, strength, determination, perseverance and the support of her loved ones that she cherished. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made on our lives will be felt forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength that will continue to inspire us all. We will treasure the memories we have of her and find solace in knowing that her spirit will inspire us and live on in our hearts forever. Preceding her in death are her maternal grandparents, Ismael Casas and Maria P. Casas Lynn, paternal grandparents, Ignacio Zaragoza Perez and Feliciana Perez, uncles-Candelario Perez, David Perez, aunts- Maria Elena Perez, Carolina P. Barron, Soila Perez and Virginia P. Casas, her cousin, Debbie Lee Casas. Though we will miss her radiant spirit, we find peace in the promise of Christ’s resurrection and the assurance that her story continues in glory.
Visitation-Sunday, August 31 st , 2025-2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Service- 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Chapel service-Monday, September 1 st , 2025 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Perez Family Cemetery, Los Barreras (RGC)
Rio Grande City - Sheree Nicole Perez, 41, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, in Edinburg, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Sanchez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, TX.
