With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Victoria Guerrero Saenz, who left this world on July 28, 2026, in Rio Grande City, Texas. Born on November 21, 1953, in Planview, Texas, Victoria was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, whose warmth and steadfast presence made an immeasurable impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
Victoria’s journey began in the embrace of her parents, Arturo Guerrero (+) and Sara Garcia (+), who instilled in her the values of compassion, faith, and resilience that she lived by each day. Growing up surrounded by her siblings—Arturo (Blanca) Guerrero and Miguel (Linda) Guerrero, Elisa (Alberto) Chapa, Sara (Jorge) Garcia, and Sylvia (Amado) Garcia—Victoria learned early on the importance of family, loyalty, and unconditional love. Her bonds with her brothers and sisters remained enduring and strong throughout her life, each relationship distinguished by mutual respect, laughter, and countless shared memories.
Victoria’s heart was truly at home with her family. She cherished her role as a wife to Ruben Saenz and as a devoted mother to Victor Ruben Saenz and Erica Saenz. The joy she took in nurturing her family was visible through every meal shared, every lesson taught, and every accomplishment celebrated. She guided her children with a gentle hand and a fierce dedication to giving them the very best of herself. In their triumphs and struggles, she was their constant source of encouragement and strength.
The love that Victoria gave so freely extended beyond her immediate family. Her kindness radiated to friends, neighbors, and all those she encountered, often marked by her unwavering patience and genuine concern for others. Whether offering a listening ear or a comforting embrace, she brought light into the lives of those around her.
As we gather to remember Victoria’s remarkable life, we also mourn the loss of a guiding light. Her passing leaves an emptiness impossible to fill, but her legacy lives on in the memories she created and the love she nurtured. The characteristics that defined Victoria—her faithfulness, compassion, and strength—remain a lasting inspiration.
Victoria’s life will be commemorated through the following public services:
