Guadalupe A. Smith entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at McAllen Medical Center. She was born on January 4, 1920 in Rio Grande City the

daughter of Jesus and Angelita Arredondo. She was united in marriage to Eliseo Smith, Jr. on March 27, 1938. He preceded her in death May 2, 2009. They were

married for 71 blissful years.



Lupita was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was also a member of several Catholic organizations. She devoted her entire life to serving God, her Lord

and Savior and her loving family.



She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her two sons and their spouses: Eliseo Smith III and Teresa and Roel Smith and Gloria, 7 loving grandchildren,

9 precious great-grandchildren and several wonderful nieces and nephews.



In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her loving son and grandson: Ernesto (Smitty) Smith and Mark Andrew Smith, and her beloved brother, PFC

Ernesto Arredondo.



The family will greet friends from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2013. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening. Funeral

services and Mass of Christian Burial for Lupita will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church. She will be laid to

rest at the Rio Grande City Cemetery.



Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City.
