Wilfrido “Willy” Aguilar passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 1, 2021 at the age of 64.
Wilfrido was born on February 11, 1957 in Rio Grande City to Eulalio Aguilar and Celia Leal Aguilar of Rio
Wilfrido is preceded in death by his son, Rene Omar Aguilar, a sister, Diana Maria Aguilar, a nephew,
Michael Anthony Peguero, and his father, Eulalio Aguilar.
Wilfrido is survived by his 3 children Vanessa Yvette Villarreal, Sarah Cadena, and Rene Omar Aguilar, 6
grandchildren Olivia, Severo IV, Ezekiel, Andres Jr., Amara, and Andrea. He is also survived by his
mother, Celia Leal Aguilar, and 8 brothers and sisters: Alfredo Baldemar Aguilar, Elias Aguilar Sr., Diana
Maria Peguero, Eulalio Aguilar Jr, Raul Alfonso Aguilar, Carlos Cesar Aguilar, Abel Aguilar and Maria
Cecilia Aguilar, 22 nephews and nieces, and 26 great nephews and nieces.
Wilfrido graduated from Roma High School in 1975, and after graduation he attended Texas A & M
University in Kingsville, Texas, he then went on to work in the family business of land surveying, as a
Wilfrido, and all those who knew him, knew he had a passion for living life, the outdoors and cooking,
and that he loved his family dearly.
Wilfredo was loved by many and had a passion for hunting, fishing, BBQ, the Houston Astros, Dallas
Cowboys and especially spending time with his friends and loved ones. He was a person unlike any
other, had a big heart and was a kind and loving father to all his children and grandchildren. He was
always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone no matter the time or day.
Willy will be truly missed by all who knew him and we are all truly blessed for having been a part of his
all too brief life.
